Blanch Tomatoes

Learn how to blanch tomatoes so you can freeze tomatoes and

enjoy summer produce all year long.



Supplies:

  • Large Dutch Oven or Soup Kettle

  • Large Bowl


  • Directions:

  • Fill a large kettle with water

  • Heat water to a full boil

  • Carefully drop fresh tomatoes into boiling water

  • After 10-20 seconds, remove tomatoes from boiling water and rinse with cold water

  • Remove pealing which will now come off easily

  • Cut pealed tomatoes into quarters

  • Tomatoes are now ready to use in recipes or you could just freeze them in freezer bags

  • Enjoy freezing your summer produce.
