Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups Flour

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  • 1 cup Shortening

  • 3/4 cup Sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed Brown Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 2 cups (12 ounces) Chocolate Chips

  • 1 cup Nuts (optional)


    • Directions:

  • Mix flour, baking soda and salt

  • In a large bowl, combine shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy

  • Add eggs and beat together

  • Gradually add dry ingredients and mix well

  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts

  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet

  • Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until lightly browned
