These jar gifts will help you create an unforgetable gift for your family and friends by giving them a homemade gift jar filled with the ingredients to make delicious soups, chilis, cookies and more.

All you have to do is fill the jars as directed and add your personal touch.

Because most of the ingredients are pre-measured and in the jar, recipe preparation is easier and more fun.




Supplies:

  • Quart Jar with Lid - Always use a food safe jar with an airtight lid.
  • Fabric approximately 9 inches x 9 inches
  • 3 feet of Ribbon
  • Recipe and Ingredients (below)


    • Filling the Jar:

  • Thoroughly wash and dry the jar and lid
  • Choose a recipe from below and gather ingredients
  • Follow directions for filling jar given with each recipe

    Decorate Jar:

  • Using fabric scrap, cut a 6 to 8 inch circle using pinking shears

  • Print out recipe tag for recipe chosen.

  • Cut 1 or 2 three foot lengths of ribbon that coordinate with your fabric. After punching a hole in the corner of the recipe tag, thread the ribbon through the hole. Then wrap the ribbon around the jar and tie it into a bow.
